Andie Flynn, esteemed member of the Fashion Police, writes: "Oh, and if I'd been charged with lewd conduct with a child, I think that when showing up at court, I'd want to at least wear a bra and not dress like a clown." Good advice for us all, Andie!

AWS WeatherBug is my new favorite desktop toy. It rides in your system tray, telling you the current local temperature. If there's a weather alert in your area, it turns into a lady bug and chirps! Click on it and you can get all the local and travel weather updates you could want, including cams. Yes, it's probably sucking memory but I'm infatuated. (Shoutout to Lauri H. for this link!)
Note: Unless you want spyware on your PC, when installing WeatherBug, opt out of also installing Gator.

I've been clicking through these great portraits of women from San Francisco's annual dyke march all morning. Not only are the faces fascinating, the site's architecture is wonderfully easy to negotiate. High marks for content and form!

Powell's Books brags that they're the largest new and used bookstore in the world; Alibris just says they have books "you never thought you'd find." But if it is Samuel R. Delaney's masterpiece Dhalgren you're looking for, it doesn't matter -- it's back in print with a new foreword by William Gibson.

When The Producers broke the record for most Tony awards last night, I started wondering if it was possible for a starving website to score a ticket to a rainy matinee. (Answer: Probably not until 2002.)
